- The fifth edition of the "Tú Eliges [You Choose]" programme has once again proven the company's commitment to social, cultural and environmental protection actions
Through a donation of 100,000 euros, Cecabank rewarded the 15 most voted projects in its fifth edition of the "Tú Eliges" programme. Employees chose the finalists to receive this donation from among the 26 projects submitted.
These projects comprise environmental, cultural and social actions. In addition, this year the bank has increased the number of winning projects by adding three more. The number of projects that can benefit from this financial aid has thus been increased from 12 to 15.
The programme is carried out through a virtual platform and in two stages. During the first phase, Cecabank employees can present their projects in the social, cultural and environmental categories. They can provide videos, presentations and information on these projects. In the second phase, all employees receive 100 virtual currencies to distribute among the initiatives they like the most.
The event attracted a bigger audience
This edition stands out as having the largest volume of participation. Over 88% of Cecabank's staff have taken part in it.
Thus, the award ceremony was held on 24 June. At the event, the company's CSR team delivered 14 prizes and Cecabank's CEO, José María Méndez Álvarez-Cedrón, awarded the donation to the finalist project with the most votes: The El sueño de Vicky Foundation, whose project will be used to fund research to combat childhood cancer.
The fifth annual edition of the “Tú Eliges” programme demonstrates not only Cecabank's commitment to its Social Action Policy, but also that of all its employees to championing the well-being of society.
