Cecabank has obtained an AENOR Energy Management Certificate. This confirms that the bank complies with the requirements of the UNE-EN ISO 50001 Standard. With the registration number GE-2018/0038, this certificate recognises that Cecabank has implemented an Energy Management system that is committed to continuous improvement and that it uses energy efficiently in its buildings at Calle Alcalá 27 and Caballero de Gracia 28-30 in Madrid.
According to ISO (International Organization for Standardisation) studies, the advantages of applying this Energy Management Standard revolve around saving between 5% and 30% of companies' total energy costs.
This certificate helps companies to manage and reduce energy consumption. The positive effect this certificate has on reducing associated financial costs and greenhouse gas emissions must be taken into account.
In keeping with Cecabank's Energy Policy
Cecabank's Corporate Environmental Policy is explained in its Energy Policy, which meets the requirements of the UNE-EN ISO 50001 Standard. This specifies the savings and energy management objectives that have been set out by the company.
Senior Management has been responsible for implementing the Energy Policy, which must be complied with by all the bank's employees, as well as by all the external agents and organisations that perform activities for the bank.
This Energy Policy is supported and accredited by the aforementioned Energy Management Certificate. It establishes the bank's energy commitment directives, which include energy saving guidance, the implementation of practices that contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the use of energy-efficient products and services.
Other AENOR certifications the bank has
Cecabank has an AENOR Quality Management Systems certificate in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard. It applies to Securities and Depository Services (the design and provision of fund depositary and securities settlement, administration and custody services). Collections and Payments (the exchange, clearing and settlement of collection and payment transactions). For the Design and provision of training courses in the field of banking and the granting of professional certificates by the Banking Training School and, within the Pyramid Service, for financial Reporting (which includes services that range from regulatory analysis to the technical support needed to fully manage the reporting cycle). The bank has also obtained the Information Security Management System certificate in accordance with the ISO 27001:2014 standard, which has been established for systems that support the exchange and processing of SEPA debit and transfer files.
Furthermore, the Cecabank Criminal Compliance Management System is certified according to the UNE 19601:2017 standard.
This certificate is added to all the previous ones. This demonstrates Cecabank's commitment to excellence and continuous improvement in all its areas of activity.
