- Cecabank and The Valley have been closely linked for years with a common goal: to empower employees and drive the digitalisation of the company. We were keen to talk to Lourdes López, the company's Head of Planning and People Development, to discuss this journey and the experience of the employees being trained at our school.
Once again this year, Cecabank trusts our ecosystem to continue along this path of continuous development. Tell us, how has the company's experience, and the employees' experience in general, with The Valley training been so far?
The experience has been really positive, which is why this year we launched the 4th Edition of the "Digital Transformation in the Financial Environment" Programme. We are meeting all the goals we set for ourselves when we established this programme, which were: to raise awareness of the key aspects of our sector's transformation, highlight new developments and trends with impact in order to analyse them internally, and ensure that all this is undertaken by the experts who are working on this and developing it in leading companies in different fields and sectors.
Those who have participated in training thus far, emphasise the quality of the speakers, the interesting content and the coordinators' excellent management of the programme.
How important is the trainingof employees to the company?
We consider training to be of the utmost importance, in that we are aware that it is an essential tool to contribute to the development of people and the success of the company. The current context demands that we be constantly learning. This VUCA environment compels us to be curious and to be concerned with self-development.
What value does the training of teams provide to employees and the organisation's culture?
Continuous improvement. We are not content with what we already know, we want to learn new things and continue to improve.
The banking sector is one of the fastest moving sectors in terms of digitalisation, does this mean that we must be fully up to date with digital trends to not fall behind?
Absolutely. In fact, this is reflected in our programme that changes with each new edition. Content is released on topics that we have already implemented, and there are new topics on the latest trends or disruptions in the sector.
Any goals for this year related to the digitalisation of Cecabank that you can share with us?
We have been working with data and artificial intelligence for some time, and we want to continue to move forward in this area.
